Carter returned to Ireland in 2011, and began writing and recording the material that would become GSlide's second album, Drink. Love. Rebellion.. Once again he teamed with The Bradley Sisters for several songs, including "Golden Monkey" and "Sweet Lunatic". He also enlisted Cork-based Rob "Mugsy" McGrath for "Sleeping It Off". During this a time a number of shows were performed across Ireland to demo the new material.
In August 2012, he returned to the U.S. and began mixing the album, and Drink. Love. Rebellion. was released the following year. Much like their debut This Too Shall Pass, the album is rich in diversity, featuring the pub-crawl inspired "Sweet Lunatic" and the sting of a brief summer fling in "Wildberry".
In less than one week after its release, Drink. Love. Rebellion. had already garnered critical praise.
GSlide's album Drink. Love. Rebellion. is a diverse collection of intricately crafted and beautifully performed songs filled with passion and emotion. A perfectly executed album where... each song seamlessly segues from one to the next. Drink. Love. Rebellion. is a must-hear collection.

A lovely journey of sharply crafted arrangements landscaped with exciting melodies and electric hooks. The album keeps you captivated.

A hint of Natalie Merchant with 10,000 Maniacs. A very strong 80's vibe instrumentally speaking and some nice 90s angst.
